ISLAMABAD – The ongoing case involving two foreign women in Lahore has taken a significant turn as new evidence emerges, raising questions about the initial allegations. Conflicting accounts, fresh arrests, and digital evidence have intensified public interest in the situation.
Conflicting Accounts and New Evidence
Recent reports indicate that the police’s claims regarding the case have come under scrutiny following a statement from one of the foreign women and the release of a photograph. This image shows the women appearing frightened alongside a traffic warden and police officers after they sought refuge in a nearby shop.
According to reports, the traffic warden alerted the police after rescuing the women. Authorities had been searching for the women prior to their escape, leading to a wider investigation.
Arrests and Allegations
In connection with the case, police have arrested four additional suspects, bringing the total to eight. Among those detained is a suspect known as “Boss,” who reportedly sustained injuries while attempting to flee. Allegations suggest that the women were unlawfully confined for two days and subjected to serious offenses, including demands for ransom.
One of the women’s fathers contacted French authorities, prompting them to alert Lahore Police, who eventually located the women after two days of searching.
Financial Dispute Claims
Amid the investigation, TV host Mansoor Ali Khan presented an alternative narrative, suggesting that initial technical evidence does not support the allegations of sexual assault. Instead, he claims the case revolves around a financial dispute involving significant investment transactions.
Khan stated that recovered digital evidence indicates the women were involved in a business accepting large sums from investors, leading to disputes over approximately $500,000. This new perspective has shifted the focus of the investigation, as police continue to analyze the evidence.
