Xiaomi Ends Civi Smartphone Series Amid Uncertain Future

Xiaomi has reportedly decided to discontinue its Civi smartphone series, a move that has raised questions about the brand’s future offerings. The information comes from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, who indicated that the Civi line will not return in the next product generation.

Cancellation of Civi 6

The latest reports suggest that the anticipated Xiaomi Civi 6 has been cancelled due to poor sales performance of its predecessor models. Initial leaks had hinted at a revival of the Civi 6, showcasing potential specifications such as a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 200MP camera. However, these features remain unverified as Xiaomi has not confirmed any details.

Five-Year Legacy of the Civi Series

Launched in September 2021, the Civi series was designed primarily for younger consumers, focusing on aesthetics and photography capabilities. Over the years, Xiaomi released several iterations, including the Civi 1S, Civi 2, Civi 3, Civi 4 Pro, and Civi 5 Pro. The latter was the last model introduced in May 2025, featuring advanced specifications and a starting price of 2,999 yuan.

Future Focus on T-Series

With the discontinuation of the Civi series, Xiaomi may shift its focus to the T-series, which includes the recently launched 17T and 17T Pro models. This series aims to provide high-end features while being positioned below the flagship offerings. However, Xiaomi has not officially stated that the T-series will replace the Civi line.

As of now, the Civi 5 Pro stands as the final entry in the series, and the prospect of a next-generation model appears increasingly unlikely. Xiaomi has yet to provide official confirmation regarding the discontinuation of the Civi brand.
