Government Launches Home Delivery Service for Passports in Collaboration with TCS

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has officially launched a new home delivery service for passports in partnership with TCS, named “Passport Aapki Dehleez Par.” This initiative aims to provide citizens with the convenience of receiving their passports at their preferred addresses.

This service represents a significant advancement in modernizing public service delivery in Pakistan. The formal launch took place at the DGIP headquarters, where officials emphasized the importance of making passport services more accessible.

TCS Chief Executive Officer Hassan Raza Leghari highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting digital governance and citizen-centric services. He stated, “TCS is proud to partner with DGIP in delivering an essential public service directly to citizens’ doorsteps.” The logistics company aims to ensure that every passport is delivered safely and on time.

Future Initiatives and Improvements

The meeting also focused on broader collaborative efforts to modernize passport services and improve operational efficiency. DGIP Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa noted that this initiative will reduce unnecessary visits to passport offices while ensuring a secure collection process. Additionally, earlier announcements indicated plans for a chatbot to assist applicants in the future.
