Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced a 40% reduction in airfares for passengers traveling between Faisalabad and Karachi, providing a much-needed relief for domestic air travelers.
New Fare Structure
Under the revised pricing, the one-way fare has decreased from approximately Rs20,000 to Rs16,781. Additionally, the round-trip fare has been reduced from nearly Rs38,000 to Rs33,742. This fare cut is expected to benefit business travelers, families, and other passengers commuting between these two major cities.
Promotional Period
The discounted fares will be available until July 30, with flights operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This promotional offer aims to make air travel more accessible for a limited time.
Recent Changes in Management
Earlier this month, the Privatisation Commission completed the transfer of management control of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) to a consortium led by Arif Habib Corporation. This marks a significant milestone in the airline’s privatization process, with Lt Gen (retd) Anwar Ali Haider appointed as the new chairman of the privatized airline.
